Born
in Laupheim (Germany),
I received my Diploma in Chemistry (Dipl. Chem.) in 1995 from the University
of Tuebingen under supervision of Dr. A. Hirsch. Our group (Prof. Dr.
A. Hirsch) moved to the University
of Karlsruhe (March, 1995) and to the University
of Erlangen (October, 1995) where I received my Ph.D. in 1997 (Dr.
rer. nat.). In January 1998 I joined the group of Prof. Dr. Y. Rubin at
UCLA as a postdoctoral fellow.
