- Ch. 7.1-7.5 (Halogenated compounds, Nomenclature, radical reactions)
- Ch. 8.1-8.6 (Nucleophilic Substitution, SN1 and SN2; section 8.5. was not really treated, but self-explanatory)

- Ch. 8 (end, Elimination reactions)
- Ch. 9.5.D (formation of sulfonates, e.g. tosylates and triflates, this makes more sense to see this quarter)
